SECRETARY KAWAMURA APPOINTS KRISTIN MACEY AS COUNTY/STATE LIAISON

SACRAMENTO, September 30, 2009 – CDFA Secretary A.G. Kawamura has appointed Kristin Macey as County/State Liaison, a position that works closely with agricultural commissioners/sealers of weights and measures in California’s 58 counties.
 
“Kristin Macey has an extensive background in agriculture and consumer affairs,” said Secretary Kawamura. “Through her work in measurement standards she already has had the opportunity to collaborate with our partners at the county level. I know that she will build on those relationships as she serves in this new capacity.”

Previously, Macey was assistant director of CDFA’s Division of Measurement Standards and, prior to that, she was State Director of Weights and Measures in Colorado. She received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Nebraska and a master’s degree in public administration from Troy State University.
