  • Compost may be purchased from one of the certified composting facilities as identified below:
    • CalRecycle SWIS website
      • Select Composting under "Activity Category"; select "Active" under "Operational Status"; type county name under "Agency" and click "Search".
      • A list of composting facilities in the county will show up in the table below. Check "Regulatory Status" - only those marked as "Permitted" or "Notification" are eligible.
      • CDFA-OIM Certified Facilities (Only Dry Compost Eligible for HSP)
      • STA Certified Compost Participants (compostingcouncil.org)
      • Organic certified compost by OMRI or CCOF or other local authorities.
