Steve Lyle
Steve Lyle is Director of Public Affairs at the California Department of Food and Agriculture — helping to oversee communications for the agency, serving as a spokesperson to the media and stakeholders, and helping to maintain clear lines of communication with partner government agencies as well as other individuals and organizations interested in CDFA policies and programs.
Steve has served in this post since 2000, working on agency challenges such as fruit fly infestations and animal disease outbreaks; and on forward-leaning initiatives like climate-smart agriculture and California Grown.
Steve works with a dynamic team in CDFA's executive office. The Office of Public Affairs is responsible for media outreach and the distribution of information to the public, utilizing tools like videos, social media platforms, an agency blog, and news releases.
