It is important to be prepared for any emergency or disaster. CARES has created activity sheets for you to learn about disaster preparedness. Your family can learn together or you can teach them what you’ve learned. You can even share this information with your teacher and schoolmates. Learning about disasters will help you understand how to protect your animals before, during, and after an emergency or disaster. Your animals rely on you to protect them when a natural disaster happens like a wildfire, earthquake, flood, mud and debris flow and other disasters.

Make sure that your family is prepared so that you can be safe and able to care for your animals. Prepare animals for emergencies just like other family members.
