Environmental Safety Laboratories
Relying on a diverse team of scientists with expertise in chemical and environmental sciences, the Environmental Safety Laboratory (ESL) specializes in Analysis for inorganic and organic compounds in agrochemicals, which involves pesticides and fertilizers, as well as other compounds in environmental samples, including air, water, soil, clothing articles, and pesticide product formulations. This also includes fertilizer products for labeling compliance and contaminants, such as heavy metals.
ESL also conducts method development for chemicals of emerging concern and utilizes state of the art instrumentation technologies. These include the following:
- Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES)
- Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS)
- Ion Chromatography – Tandem Mass Spectrometry (IC-MS/MS)
- Liquid Chromatography – Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LCMS/MS)
- Gas Chromatography – Tandem Mass Spectrometry (GCMS/MS)
- Liquid Chromatography – Quadrupole Time of Flight (LC-QTOF)
- Gas Chromatography – Quadrupole Time of Flight (GC-QTOF)
- Nitrogen Analyzer
- Sulfur Analyzer
- Micro Kjeldahl
These instruments help ESL achieve low detection levels with accuracy and precision in short turnaround times.
