Registration Guidance for Livestock Drug Products
The Livestock Drug Program regulates over-the-counter livestock drugs. All livestock drugs must be registered prior to sale or distribution in California whether products are being sold online or in a brick-and-mortar retail location. A program Registration Specialist reviews all livestock drugs for safety, and efficacy data, and label compliance with the Livestock Drug Laws & Regulations. Federal prescription drugs are exempt from registration.
