Sarah Ansell

Sarah Ansell is an Executive Fellow through Sacramento State’s Center for California Studies, placed in the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Executive Office. Mentored by Deputy Secretary Virginia Jameson and Deputy Secretary Rachael O’Brien, she supports efforts to advance climate-smart agriculture and legislative affairs. In May 2025, Ansell graduated from University of California, Berkeley with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Society & Environment. Her previous experience includes internships with Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She is passionate about building a more sustainable, equitable future through a career in environmental policy.
