Office of Legislative Affairs
The Office of Legislative Affairs is responsible for coordinating all legislative activities for the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA). The Office of Legislative Affairs assists CDFA's divisions and program areas in analyzing proposed legislation that impacts the Department and the state's agricultural sector; and advises the CDFA Secretary on potential impacts. The Office of Legislative Affairs also monitors bills of departmental interest, provides technical assistance on policy development, and represents the Department before the Legislature. In addition, the Office of Legislative Affairs coordinates legislative reports due to the California State Legislature from CDFA.
